Harry Hartog's review
I would ready absolutely anything by Lynette Noni (shopping lists, packing lists, emails, whatever she wants to send my way I will read) so I was thrilled to start on this new story. It’s a very different direction – gone is the magic and fantasy of the past and instead we have a contemporary YA romance. And you know what? I’m here for it. This book is still filled with magic, it’s just magic of a different kind. In true Noni style this book is a page turner. It might be a romance, but that doesn’t mean she has slowed down the pace at all. It is TENSE. There’s high stakes and stress and anxiety inducing thrills and spills. The characters feel real and that makes you cheer for them . They are complex and there’s some really well-done scenes that explore grief and loss. I think this will resonate with a lot of readers. It was so good to read a romance where the characters are honest with each and not so much relying on the miscommunication trope. - Megan, Inventory Manager

A GIRL HAUNTED BY TRAGEDY.
A BOY SEEKING REDEMPTION.
A WILDERNESS AS BEAUTIFUL AS IT IS DEADLY.
Zander Rune was the darling of Hollywood until he fell from glory and was labelled a problematic bad boy. His public image needs fixing-fast-or he'll lose the role of a lifetime, and all his dreams with it.
Charlie Hart is a regular teenage girl who despises everything Zander represents. But thanks to her scheming best friend and an ill-timed social media competition, Charlie finds herself pretending to be Zander's biggest fan on a four-day reality TV adventure led by renowned survivalist Rykon Hawke.
When their trip goes horribly wrong, Charlie and Zander are left stranded in the wilderness. No Rykon, no film crew, no rescue. The only way they'll survive is if they trust each other. But in order to do so, both will have to let go of the ghosts of their pasts, and just maybe find themselves-and one another-in the process.

Lynette Noni is an absolutely incredible author and I’ve loved everything she’s written, so I was pumped for this book. I’m a sucker for books that make me feel things: books with high emotional stakes, complex characters and relationships, books where I can celebrate the characters’ successes and grieve their losses. That said, I’m also an absolute sucker for a happy ending. I love when characters fight to the ends of the earth for what matters to them, and eventually achieve it. As a queer, disabled teenage girl with mental health issues, representation and a diverse cast of characters is also very important to me. I love it when books can change my perspective on certain issues and increase my empathy for groups of people. Wandering Wild does all of this and more. So do Lynette Noni’s other books. Go read them.
I adore this story, it was an emotional rollercoaster! The deep characters had me giggling and literally crying. The mis-adventures had me scared and pondering what could possibly happen next. That ending, had me terrified for a moment that it was going to go a different way. Loved it, love your work!
Amazing book. Very different than her other books, but a lovely read.
