Mosman Bay was originally established as an artist colony on the shores of Sydney harbour in the late 19th century. In more recent generations this cultural tradition in Mosman has supported numerous independent bookshops, second-hand bookshops, art galleries, libraries, and cafes; with a rich history of ideas, books and writer’s events coexisting and thriving together, creating a community that is unique in Sydney.

Harry Hartog Bookseller is excited to join this artistic and cultural tradition, with the opening of a flagship shop that will attract bibliophiles, everyday readers, thought leaders, families, and raconteur book collectors from throughout the North Shore and beyond.

More than simply a space lined with shelves, Harry Hartog is a meeting place between the worlds found inside books and the world around us. Our shops are for the adventurer, the student of life and the next generation of reader. Old fashioned quality and creative ideas are the cornerstone of our community.

Harry Hartog Mosman will offer a wide range of new, second-hand & out of print titles, with a curated range of international editions that are not readily available in Australia. We will stock an extensive collection of gifts, toys, and stationery, and we will establish a vibrant calendar of events that will be hosted in-store within our Classics Room.
