2025 Stella Prize

Stella has been a major voice for gender equity and cultural change in Australian literature since it was founded in 2012. The Stella Prize is awarded annually to recognise and celebrate Australian women and non-binary writers, tackle gender bias in the literary sector, and share outstanding books with readers.

The 2025 Shortlist will be announced on Tuesday 8 April, and the winner named on Friday 23 May.

We look forward to the Stella Prize every year and our booksellers are thrilled to see some of their favourite authors recognised for their brilliant work!
