Well this was a surprise read! Juliette hasn't touched anyone in years – if she does, they'll die. The Reestablishment has kept her locked up, biding their time before they use her as a weapon to keep rebel forces in check. Enter Adam – not a shining knight, but a lifeline nonetheless. The romance that develops between them is beautifully passionate and so, so addictive! They make a great team. Mafi has a gorgeous way with words. The language she uses to bring Juliette's thoughts to life creates unrivalled imagery.
I thought 'Shatter Me' would be a great teen escapism read, but it was so much more than that – hit me in the feels big time.
